Black Friday...take advantage of those freebies!
November 24, 2009
No doubt many of us will be out among the crowds on Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year. The main objective for most people is to see how much stuff you can buy at the lowest price possible. It's great to find those smart bargains, but what about the FREE stuff?? Many retailers are offfering buy 1 get 1 deals and many similar deals, but there are also some pretty cool free giveaways that cost absolutely nothing - well maybe a little time spent standing in line.
For example, Target is giving away free reusable tote bags to the first 500 shoppers. Participating GGP (General Growth Properties) Malls http://www.ggp.com will be giving a way a free Holiday Mistle-Tote full of retailer goodies, including a booklet of “Ideas and Inspirations from Martha Stewart Living,” a Martha Stewart Living-branded cooking utensil, recipe cards and more. These special holiday hand-outs will be distributed Friday November 27th and Satuday November 28th until noon, while supplies last. You can visit the GGP website to locate a mall near you.
The bottom line is to be safe on Black Friday and remember to keep the main thing the main thing. Remember some of the best gifts don't cost a thing - like time spent together singing Christmas carols or roasting marshmallows. Then afterwards you can hit the stores on a freebie scavenger hunt and see who comes up with the most free loot!
Happy Thanksgiving all.
